    Magneto is an overachiever!

My ELR, lovingly referred to as Magneto, is starting me out in the am with 49 miles of available no-gas-ready-kilowatt power available! Not 37, not 39, not 41..but FORTY NINE! I have had the car for three weeks and it has exceeded numbers posted by Cadillac. I have measured the miles by power to the odometer and my car is delivering 1-1 so the numbers are right. Hope it keeps it up!

Good deal! I've never gotten more than 38 EV miles out of my ELR, which is the same I get out of my 2012 Volt. Oh, well...

That is awesome! In the short time I've had mine, I've broken 41. You've set the bar!

For a cool spaceship affect, grab a copy of NASA's Symphony of the Planets and play that while you're driving! The entire 5-hour recording is available on iTunes for $10, or you may be able to download it if you can find it on Google. My friends totally geek out when I drive them around with that playing!

As a side note...I have noticed that the longer I leave it on the charger (currently 120v) the higher my startup number is. The ceiling seems to be 49. I started out with 49 available EV miles and by the time I made my trips between Dallas and Fort Worth I had actually gotten almost 50 miles before the gas kicked in! I will certainly enjoy it as long as it continues...

Now that it has been awhile, what are you averaging now?

My average after a full charge is always 48 or 49, but it has shown 50 a half dozen times. But when it does show 50, it drops to 49 really quickly.

My charge on the 120VAC is usually ~48. On a 208VAC it is usually ~44. Round trip distance is 64 and that is usually what is shows I use in mileage from the charges. To work shows 28 miles used to cover actual 32. Return is 36 miles to cover 32. 28 miles of the trip is at 75MPH with cruise control on. There is a downhill grade over the length of the trip. Not steep, about 800ft in altitude difference and roads are straight and flat. I have averaged 97% EV usage in the three months I have had my ELR. I do and have tracked my charge state since I have owned. It actually started out at 37 but over the space of 5 days it went up 2 or 3 miles each day to where I have been at since.

I'd love to get anywhere near that. Yesterday I got a whopping 29 miles on charge, averaging 33 or so. Under 30 is pathetic. Ambient temp 32 deg. Used eco on climate and froze most of the trip. "Full" charge indicated 32 miles range, didn't even get that. Tour mode, easy on pedal. I can only hope something changes. Car was garaged before trip in 50 deg so it wasnt sitting out in bitter cold. Congrats to Magneto.

In my limited mileage (~300 so far) it looks like I have been on track for 43. When I jump on the interstate and go 75MPH, I lose a bit. Based on when I am just doing around town, I think that I am seeing a higher projected range after a charge. I am thinking it is using historical actuals to project the range.
