Lots of chatter STILL around the ELR commercial. Rehashing the dialogue around it is not the point if this post (count me in the "love it" category). What I DO want to talk about is that amidst all this chatter has been the emergence of an interesting benefit -- everyone is mentioning the ELR in the same breath as the Tesla, how they're both "luxury electric cars" etc. Suddenly 75k seems to be the perfect price. For the cost of producing one ad, and key placements on the Super Bowl, Oscars and seemingly every billboard in LA, Cadillac is reaping a sh*t ton of publicity where everyone is all too happy to mention the price! how gorgeous it is! how it competes w Tesla, etc. A huge win for their meriting dept -- sales of course will prove out in a few months if all this worked.
