    tire pressure monitors

I am new to this web site and posed this question in the wrong category so I am trying to list the question again, hopefully in the right section this time.
I have a 2006 DTS performance model with 18" wheels. I live in Canada and would like to put winter tires on to save the original rims. I have a chance to get rims off a 2005 STS 18". Does anyone know if the tire pressure monitors from the STS will work on my new DTS? thanks Cliff

    Re: tire pressure monitors

Im going to take a stab in the dark here seein as Im not familiar with how the tire pressure moniters work, or how they are connected etc.

I would assume they are the same connections.
Other than that the biggest concern would be as to what the pressure is set at for the sensor.
If its the same pressure needed for the tires you want to put on it should be ok.
Would also assume you should be able to adjust it if need be.
Nothing in the owners manulal ?

    Sorry im just speculating.
Jumped into this section cause Ive been eyeing the 06 DTS for a while now.
    Nice lookin ride.

Go to the dealer and check the part numbers for the sensors. If they are the same then you should be OK. Sensors work on radio waves by sending a signal to the on-board computer.
