    Traction Control...

I rented a brand new DTS.... It seems that the traction control really hampers your acceleration immediately from the line until the vehicle is moving around 25 or 30. Then it shifts so softly into 2nd gear. I just had my ass handed to me by a Marauder. My 93 Deville will pull 2 car lengths on a Marauder right off the line, it's not till 2nd gear that it suffers. But the DTS suffers off the line and then at 2nd too... but when it pulls from about 30 to 45, it does really nicely. But unfortunately, its a classic case of too little too late.

Can traction control be disabled? I bet its part of the problem.

wide open throttle take off's will employ the traction control. At the end of the shift lever there is a button to turn the system off or if it has a center console there is a button at the front of the console that turns the system off.

    Re: Traction Control...

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I did finally run across it today. It helped a little, but not that much. Seems like the shift into 2nd is a little firmer with it off... but maybe not. Thanks again.
