Magnetic Ride Control Shocks
I have an issue. I have a 2006 Cadillac DTS with performance package and magnetic ride control shocks. When I turn the car on I can hear the compressor come on but it sounds like a heart monitor. When riding I get the sound like someone is trapped in my trunk and are trying to get out. I was told that my rear shocks were blown. However, it doesn't look like it from the outside of the car. Nothing seems to be sagging. I was also told that the noise in the back is because I need a new sway bar. Is there a conversion kit for these shocks? They are electronic I believe. Please advise. Its driving me nuts. Thanks much guys.

Checj the shock mount they go bad. But when you looked at it they look find.seat aome one on that side of the car and look if the edge of shicktouch the mount. Or through the trunk look at the mount.

They are not air shocks, so they won't sag (at first). The coils will hold it up and eventually they will fail.
I would replace the rear shocks with the oem ones. Your compressor could be bad but more than likely its your shocks. They might look good, but something inside of it could have gone bad or the mounts going bad.
