    Gave her up

Started looking at new cars. Wanted a 2-door and didn't want to be snickered at by being an old guy in a Corvette. Would have purchased a Riviera or Eldorado but alas, GM doesn't make them anymore...or anything close. Ended up falling in lust for a Mercedes E350 coupe. Took possession a few days ago. Makes me smile. So, keep up the good work guys. This site has really been informative and enjoyable. Be well.........

Funny really, when 3 years ago I was agonizing over what to replace my STS with, an E-series Merc or a DTS, you were one of the ones that talked me into staying in the Caddy fold...

BTW how the heck do you keep your garage that clean?

Funny.... It's a 3 bay garage, the third bay being where I pile all the junk. It helps when you had a career (field rep) that had you moving every 5 years or so which kind of inhibits your ability to accumulate stuff. I've only been in Maine 2 years....

Don't know what got me into looking at Mercedes. I come from a WW2 family where Dad and all the uncles fought in Europe and one didn't even consider buying a "kraut" car. But saw a Edmunds.com review of the E series and thought I should take a look, seeing as how neither the CTS nor XTS turned me on (and CUE was a turn OFF). One look at the coupe and I was hooked. Didn't know Mercedes made a car that luscious that I could afford. I'm curious how long I'll be entranced. Also, since this is the first time I'm leasing, I'm curious how that will go. Will keep you posted from time to time.
