    DTS tire size change ?

Going from a 18x 7.5 to a 18x 8.5 I know the tires won't fit but will there be clearance issues on the inner wells?
I know they are going to stick out about 1/2 inch to 3/4's farther than OEM but I think I will be ok with that.

No need to hijack a "quiet tire" thread for a "tire size" question. Apples and oranges.

No problem - your own particular question is now open for discussion.

Rimwidth, within reason, will not cause rubbing in fenderwells - it's tire section width and treadwidth.

Look up your original stock tire size in www.tirerack.com and compare that with your new tires. An inch or so of treadwidth should not cause problems. Outside tire diameter is critical because, if you go more than 0.3 inch one way or the other you begin to affect speedo and transmission calibrations.

Smaller diameters roll more revolutions per mile (fast speedo) while larger diameters roll less revs per mile - slow speedo.
