There is a way to REBOOT all of the electronic modules in the entire car.
Sometimes (lots of times) that will fix random electrical gremlins.

Remove BOTH battery cables... negative cable FIRST...
Touch both cables together for 5 seconds or so, making sure they have good contact with each other.
This will drain all the capacitors in the system.

While you have the cables off... undo the one bolted to the floor.
Take a little piece of sandpaper and sand the paint away from the attachment point.
It will then have a better ground.

Re-attach the battery cables... negative cable LAST...
You will have to do the window EXPRESS UP learn again and you MAY have to do the memory seat settings again.
Sometimes they will forget the seat settings and sometimes they don't.

Re: Just got a DTS, noob memory seat question!

I have to report that the reboot didn't solve my problem. I even touched the negative and positive battery cables together 3 to 4 times at 5 to 10 seconds each time. I did everthing suggested except for removing the ground bolted to the floor. It is on tight and I didn't want to strip the head of the bolt. Once I reconnected the negative and positive cables back to battery, I had to reset my clock and reprogram the windows. However, the memory seat settings were saved. I could make another attempt to unbolt the ground cable and clean it with sand paper.

Would you have any other suggestions?

It's possibly that your key FOB was relearn as a no. 3 or higher. Try relearning them to see if that's your problem.

    Eddie39,

I don't think the fobs have anything to do with the memory seats not working. My #1 fob causes the seat settings to be recalled when I unlock the driver's door when the recall feature is active using the dic.
