In case you have never noticed the up and down button actually has TWO positions for "UP" and two positions for "DOWN"
You can feel the two positions of the button if you carefully pull it up or push it down.
The first position, either up or down, will allow the window to move until you release the button.
The second position is the AUTOMATIC position that causes the window to go ALL THE WAY up or down without having to hold the button.
To reset automatic operation...
Put both windows down..
Pull up fairly firmly on the UP button and hold it UP for 2 seconds after the window is all the way up.
Repeat for the other window...
