i like that you dipped them but a little to dark for me, i would rather see chrome. Have you dipped any other parts of the car?

I would be worried about how that would affect weight, balance and suspension tuning. Let us know what you think after you have some miles on them please.

I've plasti dipped my wheels on my 97 silverado and no different from when they were chrome! I think that the color you have on your car goes well with the black! Nice.

Plasti-dipping won't affect wheel balance, and most definitely won't effect suspension tuning ( ), any more than painting the rims would.

Not for me either. Clashes too much with the light color paint and machined center caps.

Speaking of clashing, the tinted windows look good on a silver car, but the stales pillar trim breaks it up. IMHO, it would look cleaner/sleeker with them removed, or better yet, with gloss black overlays.

    Re: 07 DTS wheels

    Fatmandoo,
Congrats on your new look. A lot of the guys on this forum (myself included) are not what you'd call hip or trend setters. And the Cadillac DTS in most of our eyes, does not lend itself well to contemporary trends in customization as would a MINI, or compact imports, or Jeep Wranglers. Nonetheless, I always appreciate and encourage others to enjoy their cars however they see fit. Although we're different, the one thing we DO have in common is that we all enjoy our rides enough to get together with other guys to talk about them and show them off.

Now, go finish blacking out the other chrome trim to continue with your sinister theme.

    Cheers!

    Kenwood
