    Aux problem

Ok so my recently purchased DTS has been having quite a few issues. This time I noticed I think the aux connector is lose. I only get like one side of the speakers to work unless I play with the connector, or I get a lot of static. If I push the connector up and slightly to the right it has no issues for awhile. I tried many cables. Is this a known issues? Just a solder fix??

The few times I have used mine... it worked just fine... no issues.
I normally listen to XM or homemade CD's...

Would this be something that would be accessible with the radio removed? If so would soldering be the issue?

My sisters suburban has the same problem. Someone somehow was just rough on the connection in someway and kinda broke it loose. Depending on the cost I would just try to find someone selling a oem radio and replace it

I would replace the radio but it's the navigation system and therefore very expensive. I have about $150 I'm willing to spend on getting this fixed. Pulling the radio itself doesn't appear hard.

Welcome to the DTS Forum and congrats on getting a 2006 Performance Caddy!!

I'm surprised that you're willing to spend only $150 on getting the unit w/navigation system fixed. So, how many miles are on the odometer & how much you paid for it? I don't know what other issues you have/had with this luxury but you should be willing to cough up a little more than $150.

You can go a local audio/visual shop & they should be able to figure out the connector(s) and/or soldering issues.

It has 81k and I paid $10,000. A used replacement nav radio is only $300 from LKQ so I wouldn't thinking paying more then half the cost of the radio for a simple remove and solder is in order. I suppose if no one wants to fix it I'll replace it.

The replacement radio will have to be programmed to your car by the dealer...

Of course, but that's only $60. I still think $150 for an hour job is fair.
