DYI Replaced Front Struts 2006 DTS :)

Thanks for all the forum help on the symptoms of Front Strut bearing problems.
2006; 67,000 miles well maintained . Struts & Bearings started going about two months ago.

I got a quote from Tread quarters for $800.00 dealer was more!
Got my new unit struts from Dearborn Axel on Ebay@ 4198.00 pair!!
It took about 2 hrs with breaks for the Pass side and 30 minutes for Drivers side.
Went a lot easier to loosen outer tie rod.
    Big difference

    I'm assuming you have MRC?

If that price isn't a typo, and all you blught was struts, you paid ~$3,000 too much.

It sits against the strut body, smaller end pointing up.

Do you have a pic of the struts? Are they OEM? I'm soon going to be doing the same thing. Thanks.
