    dash board top pad removal

    does anyone have any detailed info to remove top pad on 07 dts????

    I did this once. If memory serves, you must remove the side panels from the dash. They pop off. There is a single bolt on each side. Then pop out the "defroster" grille. There are four or five bolts that are hidden underneath. I took a towel and shoved down the defrost vent to prevent the bolts from falling down the vent. They were a pain to get out. Very tight fit next to the windshield. I used a 1/4" drive ratchet and a short extension. The speedometer assy is velcroed to the dash pad. Pull the pad up to detach after everything is unbolted. And the pillar covers must be removed I think. You just pull them out. They are held in with clips. Disconnect the speakers and release the plastic retainer. I think I had to do this to remove the dash pad.

    thanks brother i need to replace a part in one of the blend doors that control the floor /vent /defrost
