    I have a 2006 DTS,to save my HD headlights, I turn them off in daytime by turning the headlight knob to the left,Will doing this give me any problems?Thanks Bob.

    FWIW, the DRL function has nothing to do with the HIDs.

    And more descriptive thread titles will help you get replies faster.

    I like the idea of having the "driving" lights on during the day but I do turn the lights OFF when starting the car in the garage and before entering the garage during the day to prevent the HID's from switching ON. Sure wish there was a detent on the light switch. A better idea would be like on my Jeep GC where you can turn off the automatic headlights but it does NOT affect the driving lights.
