    Catalytic Converter

    Hello, All!

I'm new here and I figured this is an excellent place to get answers.

I was at a laundry mat and my catalytic converter was stolen. cleanly cut in between the manifold and the first muffler, before the O2 sensor. They are worth $100 in scrap yards.

I had a straight pipe put on until I'm able to get it replaced. Other than emmisions issues, will there be any significant impact to my sensors or engine?

    Re: Catalytic Converter

Ok, I thought maybe the O2 sensor reading would cause a malfunction or maybe alter the fuel injectors or something of that nature because of the exhaust not being filtered(??). the sevice engine light came on after driving around on a sunday looking for an open muffler shop....and still hasn't went off.....

    Thanks for your insight!!!
