    Switching radios on my DTS.

I own a 2008 Cadillac DTS with a stock radio (top picture) and I want to switch to the navigation radio (bottom picture). Has anybody been able to do this conversion? Is this possible or just too much of a hassle?
    --- P.S. - I have a Non-Bose system, thanks ---

Re: Switching radios on my DTS.

I did this in my car. I believe the nav is only compatible with the Bose system but it is possible that I am wrong. The following link is for the nav system installed on a Buick Lucerne. The install for DTS is almost identical except the dash pieces are slightly different.

I got my wiring harness(VSS wire), aftermarket antenna, and nav unit off of ebay. Also, you will have to have the unit programmed after you get it installed. You will get no sound until it is programmed.

Same deal with older Sevilles/Devilles. And the nav HU is Bose. Not compatible with non Bose systems.

@MoistCabbage: Thanks for the verification on the Bose issue. Too bad, that navi unit looks clean.

@Grullon10: Sweet post, that looks like the best route to go. Thanks.
