I'm not sure exactly, but I've been looking for the same thing for my '08, and the nearest thing that I can find is something called a BLU GM29, with a Parrot CK3000. Google it, or YouTube the video of a demonstartion. Mine has the nav system and I was hoping to tie the bluetooth into the steering wheel controls. Hope this points you in the right direction.

Jim, when you switch VCIM does it disable the car phone? I never use the car phone but would be nice to have Bluetooth. I also read on another forum that Onstar can refigure it so Onstar will continue to work.

Hey guys, plugged in a 2009 VCIM I bought off of eBay into my 2006 DTS - the unit immediately called onstar to report I was in a head on collision traveling at 61 mph with air bag deployment.

Problem I'm having is when I say Bluetooth the car tells me "unknown command - try again" so I'm unable to pair the phone. Any ideas?

Did the VCIM you received have a little antenna attached? If not, then you did not purchase a VCIM with bluetooth.

Take out the OnStar box and replace it with a Galaxy 1000 or a BlueStar.

Should work thru your mirror controls the same as OnStar works. CTS-V guys have already done it.

I have the BlueSTAR it works well. Not cheap but it works very well. I like it more then the GM version cause you use the mirror buttons for muting or ending calls.

Will this give you Bluetooth for the radio to play music or just to make and receive calls on your phone

No it will not as Onstar is monotone. Just receive and make calls. It interfaces with the cluster so you can see the name of the phone and I think the phone number calling.

Will the Onstar still work? I use it for a GPS and would hate to lose that feature.
