Re: did the heated seat repair

A customer may commentthe heated / cooled seat feature is inop for either the driver or passengerfront seat. The cause may
be a poor connection of the climate control seatmodule (CCSM) C1 pin E circuit 1440 (2006- 2007 model years)
or X1 pin Ecircuit 1440 (2008 model year).

I do about 20 to 30 a year. You don’t have to remove the seat. Take out the 2 rear bolts
Tilt the seat back forward to unhook the front of the seat from the locking pins. Lay the seat back on the back seat.

You can get the connector with 20in leads part number 15306171

Re: did the heated seat repair

Ya itís been replace by just the middle connector. (The white part.) No pins, wires or outside lock connector. (The black part.)
It was much easer to cut the connector and splice in the new wires. It makes a nicer job. Now Gm wants you to release the
terminals and if you donít use the right release tool you ruin the terminal. Install a new lock (the black part.) And splice in a
new terminal replace the burnt one.

Leave it to GM to screw up an easy job.

Most dealers have the old connector. We got 29 in stock.

Here is what the connector looks like with the wires.

I would rather pay more and do it "RIGHT"...
Everybody ... disregard my previous post about the part.

I just did this to.make sure it wasn't my.module, and yes as danog said just remove the two torx bolts that are about 250ft lbs and locktited lol, then adjust the.seat so its easily tilted forward into the windshield and lift it out, I would have never got it unplugged without tilting the seat back because of the plug being under the motor shaft

Which of the two connectors (top pic female or bottom pic male) did you replace? Or did you replace both of them? If it is the female then were the wires color coded? How did you keep the correct wire to wire connections? I see the Amazon $49 "female connector with lead". Did you use that one?

Bottom pic is the Climate Control Seat Module.

Top PIC is the plug connector you replace. The new plug comes with all white wires,
Line up the connectors side by side and cut one wire at a time.

hello, does this part come with new connector and wires? I saw a thread were you can just cut wires and splice in new connector. Thanks!

Question: Why can't you removed the bad wires from both sides of the connector and use a inline connector to make the connection instead of replacing the whole connector?

Re: did the heated seat repair

Personally I think that would be a better way to do it, and at the same time you could use a connector that was actually rated for the power the seat uses so the connector would not fail in the future.
