    Cadillac DTS factory euro tail light clear L.E.D.

    I just purchased factory dts euro tail lights. The plugs, pins and connectors are all the same but they don't seem to light up. I get no brake or blinker light response.
    Anyone ebr put these in and is there another step to do?

    The left one is a factory euro and the right is the normal USA stock

    Looks nice. Now if they only did that for my 2000-2005 generation. Instead of clearing the lens and using amber LEDs instead of red for the turn signal they added an amber block of LEDs and amber lens in middle of the red lens. Look em up if you have a chance they are terrible.

    Do you have plans to smoke the lens covers like the STS euro lights?

    Regarding the wiring I would check the STS board as there are a few members that have done the swap on the STS. But then again the new DTS is basically the 2000 deville with appearance improvements. So you may need to scour the deville section for someone that swapped to the euro deville lights.

    This info was for the 2000-2005 deville and is probably what you will need to follow.

    As you know, the export model tail lamp does not work when plugged directly into a domestic model chassis wire harness connector.

    Install 3 jumper or patch wires between the tail lamp connector and the chassis connector:

    Jumper tail lamp connector pin C to chassis connector pin C (chassis ground)

    Jumper tail lamp connector pin D to chassis connector pin D (lamp failure detection)

    Jumper tail lamp connector pin E to chassis connector pin E (turn signal)


    Two more sources of voltage to the tail lamp connector are needed. These voltages are available in the wire
    harness that connects the trunk lid to the vehicle chassis. This wire harness is routed through the left side trunk
    hinge arm and is available at the left rear corner of the trunk, behind the trim panel.

    Open that harness and locate one WHITE wire and one YELLOW wire.

    Use a Voltmeter and a sharp needle (to pierce the wire insulation) on the YELLOW wire to verify you have 12 Volts when
    the BRAKE pedal is pressed. The YELLOW wire is the feed to the STOP lamp on the trunk lid. Splice into the YELLOW wire
    and connect the spliced wire to pin B of the tail lamp connector.

    Use a Voltmeter and a sharp needle (to pierce the wire insulation) on the WHITE wire to verify you have 12 Volts when
    the headlamp switch is in the PARK LAMP position. The WHITE wire is the feed to the license lamps on the trunk lid.
    Splice into that wire and connect the spliced wire to pin F of the tail lamp connector.

    The final connections at the tail lamp six pin connector(s) will look like this:

    Tail lamp connector pin A (not used)

    Tail lamp connector pin B jumpered to trunk lid STOP lamp (stop lamp voltage from YELLOW wire)

    Tail lamp connector pin C jumpered to chassis connector pin C (chassis ground)

    Tail lamp connector pin D jumpered to chassis connector pin D (lamp failure detection)

    Tail lamp connector pin E jumpered to chassis connector pin E (turn signal)

    Tail lamp connector pin F jumpered to trunk lid license lamps (tail lamp voltage from WHITE wire)

    not gunna smoke them. There 2 lines of LED lights the let which is the brake is red and the right is the blinker which is amber LED lights. There are no amber lenses which are nice. I pretty much just cut the connector and hard wired it. The blink had to be rewired to the direct turn signal. It was tricky but looks great.

    You need to add a relay in the rear fuse box R12 {see export} in high stop light schematic { L and M go back to the left and right stop lights}. That will get the brake lights to work. Next you need to rewire the plug connectors at each tail lights. See turn light schematic.
    Take the grounds out of the plug connector { C domestic} and move them to { H Export}. Next take the yellow wires out of {B Domestic} and move them to {G Export}
    Now look for in the harness near the connectors to the tail lights and see if you can find A light blue wire {thatís the wire that come from the high stop light relay L and M.
    If you canít find the wires. You have have 2 ways to go. Remove the the high stop lamp relay from the rear fuse box. Now you add a relay to run the rear stop lights because the BCM will not handle the load of the left & right and high stop lamps.

    If you need help with the relay let me know.
