Hello all. Last week I became the owner of a 2007 DTS, gold mist metallic with cashmere interior, luxury II. She has 73k on the ticker but still smells brand new inside. I had been driving BMW seven series for the last eight years or so and needed to get something that is more reliable. I looked up common problems for the 07 DTS and found none. Try that with a 7 series BMW. So far I have been enjoying reading this forum and learning
about the car. I enjoy mods and have had the windows tinted, removed the front license plate holder, and ordered the led's for the door lights and trunk light. I have also been reading about hardwiring my V1 to the rear view mirror. I look forward to many years of enjoyment from this car and to learning from the members of this board.

Welcome aboard! Gold Mist is a great colour on the DTSs

And you are right. J.D. Powers surveys show that the 2007 DTS was voted most trouble free luxury car for used models. A "Best Buy".

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

As for the holes in the front bumper, I followed the suggestions of one of the other members and got the hole plugs from Lowe's. I drilled out the pop rivets and used the 1/4 size plugs which were about $2 for all four. 3/16 plugs will also work, but the edge of the bumper holes were kind of rough so I cleaned it up by making it a little bigger. I used a paint pen from the auto parts store to match the color. For $10, I have a clean front end, and still have the paint pin for any other nicks or touch ups.

That looks good. Did it come like that or did you have the body shop fill and paint? Mine just has four dots that you don't even notice unless you get close.

We are supposed to run a front plate in Texas...
When I bought the car new the front plate holder was in the trunk...
They were going to install it for me, but I told them I wanted to do it myself...

I never have had time to do it "YET"... haha
It's only been 6 years... I don't want to rush anything..
