    My first guess, is the rack may be loose... maybe one or more of the bolts are working loose.
    That would be the first thing I would check.
    The rack being loose would also cause it to not return to center.

    The handling on mine didn't change very much... if at all from having the old rack and the new one.
    I caught it real early and had it fixed.
    Thanks, Jim. I'm going to take a look at it myself tomorrow if the weather warms up if not I will bring it to a mechanic again.

    I couldn't really find anything myself. I brought her in today and I am apparently in need to replace my control arm assemblies in the front. Initially they couldn't find anything, but after taking a hard look he said that the CA bushings are done and that when they rocked the car front to back the wheels had too much play. Now I know that that wouldn't affect my steering not returning to center. However I wonder that since the ball joint in on the control arm and the control arm's movement is compromised by the bushings...maybe the caster angle is affecting the ball joint's performance (in other words the steering wheel returnability to center is affected). Any thoughts?

    CaddyMAK;
    I had to replace my OTR's at 30K . make sure you look at that also. go premium ones from Napa with zert fittings on them.
