Cadillac DTS Forum - 2006 through 2012 Discussion, Grille Question in Past Cadillac Vehicle Discussion; I drove past a Caddy dealership today and saw a DTS identical to mine, Diamond White, either 2010 or 2011, ...
Okay Chris, you made me look at the Build Sheet for my car. It does not have the Performance Package, but I did notice: TL4 - Body Colored Grille. So I presume someone actually ordered this specific option, rather than have it as a part of a Package? BTW I like the off-white, so won't switch to the chrome. This boat draws enough attention to itself without me making it gaudy :-)
Off-topic, what the heck is option code UPF - Wireless Interface Short Range? Is that a Bluetooth thingy for your cellphone?
I don't know about the newer ones, but in 2006 and 2007 the body colored grille was a $110.00 option on the performance model.
They came with an ugly kinda grayish/chrome grill.
My first 2006 had the body colored grille...but my 2nd one didn't.
I didn't like it, so I had it painted to match the car.
The newer chrome grills look really good.
TL4 is an old RPO that still means the same thing.. i almost mentioned it in my previous post.... white and black are good with the body color grille (imho) but other colors need the chome (again imho)
I want to buy a Chrome grille soon. I only want it if its going to be the same chrome style as my wheels. So I assume if I got a 2010 Grille for my 06 it wouldn't matter since its the same body style between years.
i forgot that you could get a mesh grille... we sell Vogue and they offer the E&G grilles ... they cost a lot though (to get specific i'll have to call Vogue since my pricing info is out of date and i don't even see the adaptive cruise parts listed in my price book)
Since they don't have the CHROME one for you... You cold get the Body Colored one...assuming you like those...
I have thought of that. Chris mentioned that I could get one in primer and have it painted, but I don't know how well a body shop can match the Crystal Red Tintcoat. I could also try to locate one from a junkyard, but that'd be like finding a needle in a haystack...
