I have thought of that. Chris mentioned that I could get one in primer and have it painted, but I don't know how well a body shop can match the Crystal Red Tintcoat. I could also try to locate one from a junkyard, but that'd be like finding a needle in a haystack...
My dealer did a good job of matching my White Lightning TriCoat.
It is the same type paint as yours... just a different color.
There is a base tintcoat, then a topcoat, then the clearcoat.
The matching colored grille comes standard on the Premium and as an option on the lower level. If you go to the highest tier, they don't offer the colored matched grille because the car comes with the adaptive cruise control. If the car has adaptive cruise control they don't offer the color matched grille.
adaptive cruise control uses a radar behind the emblem to tell how fast traffic in front of you is going
and it will basically keep you going at the speed you request or the speed of traffic in front of you
(and you can set a distance you prefer to follow at also)
because the radar is behind the emblem it makes the grilles different
