Now that warmer weather(50 degrees) is here I have to get out a give her a good waxing. What do you guys use? My buddy uses Mothers(the wax) and his Toyota looks like new afterwards.
For anyone that might be tempted, I've tried Turtlewax ICE Liquid polish and didn't like it. Left oil/smear residue on the dark cherry. Sun, shade, hot, cold produced the same results. ICE detailer, however, works fine and I prefer it to Meguiars since ICE can be applied in the sun with the car warm. Not Meguiars. But--and don't chuckle--just tried Pledge Multi-Surface cleaner and the results were great. No smearing. No residue. And the paint looks wet. But since it leaves no residue, there's not much water beading after using it. Wrote to SCJohnson and they don't recommend my using it, saying it hasn't been tested on auto paint. But they're just covering their derrieres.... Next time I think I'll try using the Pledge to clean the surface, then apply a spray detailer.
