    Speaker Grill On Door Cracked

I have a 2008 DTS and the speaker grill on the right, rear passenger door is cracked. I ordered a new one from GM but I can't figure out how to get the old one off. Any help or direction would be apprecitated.-thanks!

Sorry that I can't help you with taking the speaker grille off...but...
If you have less than 50,000 miles on it, it is still under warranty...
That would be covered under the warranty...unless it has been hit with a hammer or something.

My daughter accidentally kicked it when getting out of the car. Not sure if that would be covered. I already ordered the part from GM. Hopefully I can figure it out when I get the new part.-Thanks

Go to any body shop. They will assist you. Take your daughter with you. Have her explain to the body shop guy that her dad is going to "draw and quarter" her unless she gets it fixed. He will fix it with a smile.

From another posting on net if it helps, not sure I can post a source here???

"I think the inside door handle bezel has a screw behind it.
There are push in retainers around the outer perimeter of the panel and two metal clips in the center that can't be pulled out but have to be lifted.
It is tricky because you have to disengage all the surrounding clips, then hold the outer edges away from the door and lift straight up.
There are a few nuts that secure the grille to the panel".

Most people in this day and age don't even know what draw and quarter even means

You are right, but then I sit here with my fuzzy dice, curb feelers, and port-a-walls, happy as a lark.

Thanks B8TZM. I just received the speaker cover. I am going to give it a try.
