You do realize your talking about a car designed from the ground up as FWD and an engine designed for RWD applications right?

I do realize this. There have been conversions in the past of high powered V8s dropped into FWD applications.

Aftermarket also sells a Solstace with the vette engine in it. $60k. Vette would be a much better buy, as it is designed for that engine.

    Re: Engine Swaps

Putting a vette engine in a DTS would be an electronic nightmare. Cost of labor would probably exceed $25k. Then engine, tranny, rear, exhaust, computers, etc.

You are now at $100,000. Why not buy a Porsche???? or something as expensive as that?

Could you imagine trying to get a RWD DTS with a vette engine fixed? No warranty unless you probably paid several extra thousand.

Funny you should mention that. I drove a 911 RUF today and was impressed. Don't know if I want to shell out that kind of money for yet another car.

    Re: Engine Swaps

FWD with much more HP would really torque the steering when accelerating worse than it already does. Would think this would preclude a desire to really increase the HP/torque in the exisiting DTS platform
