    Re: pass key 3

the Key FOB? if yes and it is in addition to original one (in other words you currently own a working key fob), then there is a procedure in the service manual to do this without going to the dealer. I do not have the manual in front of me but it goes something like...

insert door key, turn it 5 times in 5 seconds,
depress (push) accesory button (lower half of start button), and it should display 'learning key fob', follow directions which are displayed...takes 3 10 minute steps.....

sorry if unclear... best if you read the service manual or do an internet search on programming PASS 3 key

If not in addition to original then its a dealer visit. they'll need to use their Tech 2 to program it. About 30-45 minutes, probably a one hour labor charge....

Passkey 3 is the key transponder, not the fob. You need a working key. Start the car with the good key. Turn the key off and remove it. Within 30 seconds inset the key to be programmed and start the car. Repeat the process with as many keys as you want to program. This will work with a new key but not with one programmed for some other car.
