2006 DTS Navigation

I have a 2006 DTS with the 6 CD changer and XM. I would like to find a used or new NAV unit and upgrade. My dealer says it is not possible! It seems on many of these posts that it is possible. Can anyone steer me to where I can find a used unit and instructions on installing it?

Easily done, just install nav system and get dealer to reflash with your VIN into the unit with a tech II scan tool.

Is it really pretty much plug and play? I saw some posts about the GPS antenna?? There has to be one already on the car for the Onstar. Are the cables and connectors there if I just pull it out and put it in? What if my dealer gives me grief on the VIN programming? He has already told me to convert or upgrade is "impossible"!!!

1. yes it's possible to install factory nav Radio
2.Your Audio system has to be compatible with Nav Radio. vehicle must have UQA option
3. GPS Antenna is not part of your on star antenna, has to be bought separatly. antenna mounts under the top dash
4. You also need to run VSS wire.
5.You also will need custom made harness with connector for voice command optiom and connector for VSS wire.
6. radio needs to be recalibrated
