you can add the vehicle w/o the VIN and still recieve the "globe box" features, then add the VIN later once its "officially" yours.
If not this link should help:
https://www.mygmlink.com/pdf/go2cont...ac/2006dts.pdf
just change the name of the .pdf part to see other vehicles manuals too
Plus they have it setup nicely where you can actually click the contents instead of going page to page
Also intresting is the new 2006 DTS once again sports 91 octane if you want full performance from the engine:
"Use premium unleaded gasoline with a posted octane
rating of 91 or higher. You may also use regular
unleaded gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher, but
your vehicle’s acceleration may be slightly reduced, and
you may notice a slight audible knocking noise,
commonly referred to as spark knock. If the octane is
less than 87, you may notice a heavy knocking
noise when you drive. If this occurs, use a gasoline
rated at 87 octane or higher as soon as possible.
Otherwise, you might damage your engine. If you are
using gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher and you hear
heavy knocking, your engine needs service."
So I guess around town use the 87, when on the highway or a trip and you want somemore passing power, use the 91
