DTS Stand Up Hood Ornament

Has anyone seen a 2006 DTS with the stand up hood ornamanet, or know of anywhere you can see a picture of it? I understand this is only available on sold units and will not be stocked at dealerships.

i work for a dealership , i havent seen a single one with a hood ornment ....your only option would be when vouge releses there kits , which will replace the grill , and will then also have a hood ornament ...

I was looking on the Gm Canada website and guess what I found in the exterior options for the DTS? A Stand Up Hood Ornament as a no cost option. At the very least if you are like me and really need the thing, (it does have practical uses, ie seeing the front of the long sloping hood) there is a provision to put on on your car. SInply order the parts from Canada. I assume that the cars so equippted will have a different grill as not to have a redundant Emblem on the grill. So you would have to order the Ornament and a grill probally. Even if it is just the ornament with the same grill it will still be cool. Now I really like the new DTS. Bench seat and hood ornament. I guess I can live without the digital speedo.

Hmm, that's interesting. Guess they have to keep SOMETHING around for the "classic folk"

Wonder if it really is the same for the U.S. cars?

Yes. It's available with the Luxury I and the Luxury II as an option (T1E) for free. But I haven't seen anyone yet.

yea they are prolly doing it to dinstinguish between models on the road, the lux 3 gets a centerornament in chrome grille while performance gets the monochrome grille with ornament in center.



i havent seen anyone with the performace package driving around yet.
