Somebody give this guy an extra special chocolate chip cookie.. There's only so much that can be done.. The new DeVille is looking pretty nice.. It's a change.. It'll change again for those who don't like it. And then, it'll look somewhat like something else in one way or another - and 'other' people wont like it...

There are so many cars out there that resemble other cars.. What can ya do?

Who cares if they sue? What happens if they win? I'll have to dump my V. I can't be associated with an auto maker who's been proven to make cars that look like Chryslers!

Re: Chrysler May Sue GM

I agree with the posts, that Chrysler copied GM (FWD C-bodies) with it's 80's designs. Chrysler even admitted they copied GM when they designed these cars, read it in a magazine when the cars debuted in the fall of '87, I still have the issue, somewhere.

People have commented more than once how my '87 Coupe DeVille resembled either an 88-91 New Yorker (especially the back-end) or a Dynasty. One guy was in a car in the parking spot RIGHT BESIDE ME!!! & said to his buddy "that's a Dynasty, man!!!"

Get your eyes checked!!!

Even Volvo copied GM in the early 80's when the 760-series debuted, around 1983 I believe? It looked almost identical to a Chevy Celebrity.

Overall, I like the new DTS, just needs the crest removed from the grille & the chromed (or gold) hood ornament put on.

A DTS-V perhaps??? One lottery win would sign me up for sure!!!

Re: Chrysler May Sue GM

If anything Cadillac Motor Division should sue Chrylser if you look hard enuff at the 05 Chrysler 300C and the 2003 Cadillac CTS in the same color you can see that Chrysler took some of Cadillacs Traditional Designs such as the vertical taillamps and sharp exterior.

Re: Chrysler May Sue GM

Also,If you look at the 1988 Cadillac Sedan DeVille you can see that Chrysler yet again took Cadillacs Traditional Styling, look at the Chrysler New Yorker from 1988 they took Cadillacs Vertical tail-lamps,I am annoyed that people say that chrysler came with the vertical lights first when cadillac started that trend loooong before Chrysler, cadillac has used the Vertical head and tail light design since 1965,BEFORE Chrysler ever did.No one can argue that point with me because I know Cadillacs like the back of my hand.end of story

Re: Chrysler May Sue GM

I agree with cadillacfanatic. Chrysler has riped designs off of other car companies for years.
