There's quite a bit of information on the web but here's a link to check out: http://www.gmaccessorieszone.com/Cad...1%5Btype%5D=gm
If you have, what year is your DTS and how do you like it?

I'll check it out. Too bad though, it looked like a pretty cool add-on.

The folks who bought them and used them, provided some pretty objective reasons for why they did not like them as I recall. I have never seen one in person myself, but I am told that they are much much bigger than standard remotes, and have a fixed stubby antenna (like old cell phones). The uncomfortably large size was one complaint I recall. If you decide to go for it anyway, let us know how you like it. |

The Caddy remote system is something that I cannot defend. It is too big, and who else has a remote that cannot be programmed to open all doors with just one click?
Is it so big because it still uses Vacuum tubes? (Ask SuperJim if you don't understand the reference ) |

The FOBs in both cases are the same size. Are they too large? Well, many foreign manufacturers have incorporated many of the same functions into the key with no FOB needed. While that part of the key is larger than a standard key, it is still smaller than the Cadillac FOB. If no key is required, then you can't implement the functions into a key. So, how about a smalled FOB? |

Our 1994 Lexus ES300 had one key, and a small button on the side of the key itself, that remotely unlocked the doors. Given , it did not have a panic button or REMOTE trunk release, it was still pretty darn small and convenient. Now, 15 years later, I am sure there is a better way than GM is currently doing it. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
