Drove a 2008 Lux III

Had to bring mine in for service and got a Lux III loaner.

They seemed to have made some changes for the 2008 MY. Clock looks different, the headliner isn't as nice and the gearshift indicator light is now red no matter the gear. Wasn't impressed with the Bose or the massaging seats. The sunshade is neat. The folding mirrors though was cool! The best thing is that the cupholders are deeper! I got in and looked and I knew it. Going to have to see how I can get one of those into mine. They hold the drinks so much better.

When I first got my car and was driving I took a sharp curve and the drink tipped over and I was . Cupholders in 2006/7s suck.

Re: Drove a 2008 Lux III

I too like the folding mirrors.
I try to remember to fold them in when parking in parking lot.
Less chance of them getting hit/damaged.

I kinda like the massaging seats in my car.
I "REALLY LIKE" the AC seats...especially here in Texas.

I don't have too much of a problem with the BOSE...I don't hear as well as I used to, but I agree that it could be better.
Especially the BASS response.
It is pretty weak.

I have cussed the cup holders in my car from the day I bought it.
I even briefly looked into getting the Heated/Cooled cup holders from an Escalade.

Texas Jim

Re: Drove a 2008 Lux III

Come hell or high water these shallow cupholder I've got have got to go.

I was browsing GM parts direct and it seems that they list the cupholder as 06-08, which isn't the case. They list it at $83 and its black however in looking at the illustration I'd need to know if it is attached to the front part of the storage bin.

#14 is the liner.

#13 is looks like it contains the not only the sliding door but also the front of the storage bin which is colored depending on what your interior is. Mines shale.

Did a junkyard search 08's seem to be too new, one yard near me seems to have one might take a look this next week.
