I have had my 06 DTS Lux 111 since March 06, just wondering if any of you have had the glitches I have had. Not all of these have happened at the same time, just over a period of 33 months.

1- turn signal indicators in both door mirrors quit working, parked the car turned the ign. off removed the key, they started working again, have been working since. when I restarted the car.

Compass in the rear view mirror quit working, did the same thing to fix it.

Put car in reverse two rear doors locked, front ones did not, same thing fixed it.

I do not drive the car that much,it has only 17,705 miles on it, I have a Chev.. truck I drive most of the time. If you let the Cadillac sit and not crank in for approx 3 weeks battery will not have enough, but charging for about an hour gets it going again.[ Guess I need to drive in more] any one else had this?

Re: Minor Problems

I have not had any of your EXACT problems... except for the battery going dead.
I called OnStar..they dispatched roadside assistance, who replaced the battery.

Mine has been to the dealer several times... mostly minor things. All have been fixed except for the Auto Headlights that turn on too soon in the afternoon and turn off too late in the mornings.

Re: Minor Problems

I have a water leak coming in from the top of the windshield at the A pillar. They've attempted two repairs to patch it but now it looks like the windshield will have to be completely removed to find the true source of the leak. I am DEFINITELY not looking forward to this. The car is now in winter storage so it will have to be done in the spring.

Re: Minor Problems

I also had my Nav screen go completely black a couple of months ago just before I crossed south of the border. Not a good thing to loose when traveling in parts unknown. The folks in upstate NY were plenty kind and the Nav came back after the ignition was turned off, the doors left closed and the retained power accessory timed out.

Re: Minor Problems

Just bought an 06 in September. The heated/cooled seat feature did not work. Took it into the dealer after we got to Florida and they found burned wires under the passenger seat, replaced connector, works fine now. After the tires were rotated a warning message that the tire pressure monitor needs servicing. Also there is a knocking noise occasionally in the back. Service man says it is probably a valve in the gas tank but I will have to take it in for them to find out. Three problems in three months. I hope it isn't a pattern.

Sounds to me like you do not have 3 problems, you have one.
I would have that battery load tested.
If it was OK (Which I doubt) I would look for a parasitic drain on the battery.
The car should easily sit for three weeks and restart.

Hmmnnn another case of one problem.......in a way.

You bought the car with the seat problem. Not part of a pattern. Might have happened years ago.

The knocking in the rear is a known issue, but if it is like most, it goes away right? Just at startup I think?
It is some sort of self check that is run.
I had a chrysler once that did a self check on the ABS...if you listened for it you could hear it. They couldn't really fix it since it was doing what it was supposed to do. After a while I didn't hear it.
Anyway, I think there is a TSB on it where they can try and make it quieter, but I don't think they can totally eliminate it.

On the Tire monitor.......I would suspect that the Tire sensors need to be indexed. That has to be done whenever you rotate tires.
Look in your owners manual and see if there is a procedure. Otherwise the dealer can do it. No big deal.
Or they broke a sensor or two.....

I just had my Seville at the dealership for the exact same problem. It was patched once before and actually got worse! Instead of leaking down the A-pillar, it soaked the headliner right where the rearview mirror was. Had the dealership replace the whole windshield at no cost to me! Turns out, the moron who put a new windshield for the previous owner didn't install it correctly.

Thanks for the information. I checked the manual and there is a procedure to index the tires after a rotation. I think I could do this myself except you need to do it somewhere that has an air pump as you have to lower the air pressure in each tire as you reset it, then top them up when you are finished. It's amazing how few gas stations provide air these days, and when they do it's no longer "free." I'll probably take it back to the dealer, as they should have done this when they rotated the tires.

I bought an 12V air pump from Sears... about 30 bucks. Plugs into the cig lighter. It is good for keeping the tires at the correct pressure. Mine tend to leak about a pound a month.... sometimes.
