Drove my '08 Performance into the garage last week, went out to check the mail, and saw an oil slick starting halfway up the drive and going into the garage. Backed out the car. Large puddle near where the right front tire was. Red, oily fluid. Had the car towed. Turned out to be a power steering tube failed, draining the system. How? The mechanic said "the return line has a hole burned in it from contact with the battery cable." (line PN 15794420). Wonder if similar contacts elsewhere have lead to the several threads reporting battery going dead.... |
