the Impala SS is a fine looking car with some of THE BEST OEM rims out there. I love the Chevy in white with the standard (non chrome) SS rims. It looks as menacing as white can IMO.
Thats EXACTLY what I was looking for. White.. FULLY LOADED. Could NOT find one. ANYWHERE.
Found a lot of white SS's... but each one was lacking SOMETHING. If it had THIS .. then is didn't have THAT.. etc etc.
So I bought the White Lightning DTS Performance Sedan.
It has it ALL.

Hey Jim, thats exactly what I have. White/Ebony 06 Impala SS. Every option possible, Bose sound, moonroof, heated seats, 6 CD changer. It's a great car, lots of power and holds the road very well for a 3800lb sedan. I'll trade you anytime, only has 19k miles on it, and still looks new

Thanks for the offer... But I will have to pass...Sorry...
I did find a couple with that color combination. It looks nice, but in Texas in the summer, I didn't want a black interior.
I wanted White with the Tan Leather. Couldn't find a loaded one anywhere. I spent close to a month, (off and on) looking for one.
Oh well... I have my White Lightning Cadillac now and love it. Already have over 31,000 on it. Had almost 35,000 on the other 2006 DTS that burned in my garage fire.

Uh oh Jim. Sounds like its almost time for another fire... J/K

Boy... I sure hope not.
I am still replacing stuff that burned in the first one.
I have replaced the Cadillac, the van, the garage, and a ton of other stuff.
I still need a good weed eater. Or maybe a goat. The neighbors would probably object to that.
I plan on keeping this one till almost 100,000 miles, which should be about three more years.
The new rear wheel drive will be out by then to give me something to think about.
One of my justifications for giving up a perfectly good '05 300C was believing that the automobile is going change dramatically in the next 3 - 5 years and didn't want to keep it quite that long. Hybrids. Ethanol compatible engines. Maybe carbon fiber to lessen weight. I'm sure the Cadillac of the future is going to be quite different from today's. I just hope they don't mega price it. I'd hate to this would be my first and last....

I really understand the part about mega pricing. This is my 12th Cadillac and I hope it is not my last. I would like at least ONE more.
I too believe that there are going to be BIG changes in the automobiles in the next few years.
We like to travel a lot. We just drive, for days and days, just looking at this wonderful country, and in my opinion, NOTHING beats a Cadillac for a road car.
I will be retiring in about a year and a half, and my income will drop dramatically, but I would like to have at least one more big Cadillac.
Smoother more powerful v-6 hybrids look like the future to me for "highend" vehicles. Yeah, I am against eliminating V-8s, but I think other than lack of V8 growl, all will be fine.
