Saw an interesting DTS today

I usually hang out over in the FWD forums, but thought I'd venture here to inquire about a DTS I saw today. I was pushing carts at work because the cart pusher was on lunch and I saw a DTS Vintage Edition. It looked AMAZING. It was black on black with a black cloth top. All the Cadillac symbols had been replaced with the classic Cadillac V symbol and the script on the car had that 50's cursive styling to it. It also had a different grill, but I didn't like it to much. I found this on the internet, but have no idea how to get my hands on one. http://www.voguetyre.com/Locations/1...0Edition-1.jpg

Has anyone else heard of this package or even know how much it costs?

Aftermarket from Vogue Tyre. You could buy the entire package or the actual pieces YOU wanted, but initially, you had to buy the entire package. When it didn't live up to sales speculation, they began parting it out. I have seen 3. I agree a thumbs down on the grille and on the sim con roof. I loved the classic emblems on them !

Toxic aftermarket trash from one end of the car to the other. The local dealer had a black one that took well over a year to sell.

Not exactly my cup of tea... but I do kinda like the big V emblems.

Lighten up. I'm just stating MY own opinion - something which you yourself said everyone is entitled to do. Nobody has to agree with me, and I'm certainly not holding a gun to YOUR head. If you happen to like seeing Cadillacs turned into horrors like this, feel free.

I have seen 1 of these runninng loose. I do very much like the old fashioned "V" as well the period script. The rest of the package I would not want.

I can admire the concept, as I like the ability of Cadillacs to be "unique" throughout the brand's history. (Of course, more to my taste would simply be fourteen standard exterior colors and seven optional Firemist paints--like the "good 'ol days!" The many optional interior choices were great, too.) However, I would never buy one of these. In Fort Lauderdale, the Bayview Cadillac dealership usually had one of these on display for the past several years--but in the last year or so, they have drastically reduced showing any of the Vogue Tyre Company products in their display area.

I considered doing the canvas top on my soon to be delivered (maybe today!!) DTS Performance. I like the way it highlights the longitudinal crease line along the top of the fenders. Plus it would present fewer horizontal surfaces to sustain hail damage.... But then thought, well if you do the roof, then you need to do the Vogue flashy wheels and WSW's...and then probably the gold trim...and all that seemed out of place with a "Performance" model.....

My wife's 2008 DTS has the Vintage package without the cloth top. It looks very good. She also has the Vogue grill shown in the first post to this thread along with a set of Vogue chrome wheels that have received many compliments. Her 2004 DTS had the same thing and was sold off the dealer's lot within a few weeks of the trade.
