DTS Oil Change

My 08' DTS Qwners Manuel says to change engine oil every 3000 mi. This seems a little too frequent. I bought car used and I don't have the Warranty Book showing maintenance requirements. Can anyone help

I also have a new 08 DTS and if you look at page 5-16 in your owners manual you will find data on oil changes and the oil change notification system.....From past experience with my STS your "Change oil soon" warning will come on anywhere between 4 and 8000 miles depending on your driving habits........
