Yes....Cadillac really did "Dumb Down" the memory system.With my STS when I took out the key the seat and wheel would go to the exit position.When I got back in the car and inserted the key the wheel and seat would move to my set driving position.
With my new 08 DTS when I remove the key the seat moves all the way back and the wheel moves up.When I get back in nothing happens unless I push a button,and if I lock the car and then unlock it with the remote fob the wheel and seat move to my set position which forces me to push the door button to get in.What the hell was Cadillac thinking when they made this change......?and....has anyone gotten an answer from Cadillac about this...?
