Re: Performance vs Lux III

Tulsa....Don't hold your breath waiting for further incentives,In fact GM prices are about to increase. There is in effect now a 3k cash back to dealers that you may be able to squeeze part of out of your dealer.

I have been working with 6 dealers since last Nov to get the best possible deal for the DTS I ordered two weeks ago.Prices in various locations are different but you should be able to negotiate a price at least 6.5k off MSRP or about $22-2500 off invoice.

Buying a new car and getting a good price can be tiring as the salesman does it daily and you may not even do it yearly.Do your homework(Edmunds,Kelly,NADA etc etc) and try to be patient.Good luck....

Re: Performance vs Lux III

My company gets me the GM employee discount (forget what it's called, factory invoice plus 1% or something like that) and I've already been told by two dealers that they won't beat that. So I'm looking/hoping for a financing deal--like the 1.9%/36 month currently going for the CTS. My preferred dealer already knows I'm ready to sign on the dotted line if he can come up with the right incentive. Of course if I could still my enthusiam, I could wait till the Fall and hope a Performance model remains....

Tulsa Vic,

I think Cadillac has 2.9 financing right now.

The quicker you buy one.. the longer you can drive it before it takes the first year deprecation.

Re: Performance vs Lux III

It took me 6 months to settle on the model Cadillac. It'll be another month before I figure out what color....(I noticed a new color on the chart: Blue Diamond. Looked interesting, but hard to tell from a 2 X 3 inch patch)

I too have seen a sample of that new color 96U. It was originally called Mystic Sapphire, but it looks like they've changed its name to Blue Diamond. It appears to be a navy blue with bronze metallic particles - rather than the traditional aluminum metallic particles - and it looks really interesting. I don't know anyone who has seen a car painted in it: not even my contact at Cadillac. I understand that the color is scheduled to go into production the week of March 27. As with the recently departed Cognac Frost, and Glacier White before it, this color will be exclusive to the DTS and likely be available for only a year or so. One thing for sure, you will not see a lot of them out there. So if you enjoy being just a touch different than the rest, this could be the color for you.
