1999 Deville seat heater not working

Remove this ad
I am looking for information about my drivers seat heater in my 1999 Deville , it stopped working and its 20 below zero !!! The indicator light is lit but no heat . The passengers side works fine . Could it be a fuse or relay , and if so where would it be located ? Are there seperate fuses or relays for each seat ? If it is not likely to be that is there something else I could check before I have to take it to a garage ? Thank you RRG

You might want to post this one in the DeVille Forum instead of the "Northstar Performance and Technical Discussion" Forum

Wow , Has no one else had their seat heater stop working ? I will tell you one thing Cadillac does not want owners to find the fuses .

Re: 1999 Deville seat heater not working

I don't have heated seats but theres a couple places the fuses could be. There's a seet under the hood on the right, and there's also a set in the trunk. Your owners manual should enlighten you.

Re: 1999 Deville seat heater not working

Yes , the owners manual says the fuse for the seat heater is under the hood on the drivers side , But it is well hidden , I can't find it . Perhaps you have to remove the engine !! I am starting to realize why Toyota will soon be number 1 !!! G M does not seem to care for the people that buy their products . I have a Toyota SUV and they would have replaced the fuse for free , The G M dealer where I bought the Deville wants me to make an appointment and charge me 75.00 just to have a look .
