2001 Cadillac DeVille DHS chrome exhaust tips

Greetings fellow enthusiasts.

I'm not quite sure if this is the proper forum to pose this question; but here it is nonetheless.

Has anyone ever replaced the "factory" chrome exhaust tips on their 01'-05' DeVille? The factory units are two eliptical outlets that converge into one before progressing back to the muffler.

I would like to replace mine with nice round - or more preferably rectangular units. I think visually it would look better; as to me the factory pieces are on the small side. I also plan to swap the factory mufflers with Flowmaster units (not sure what model yet - perhaps "40" series Delta flow - any comments??).

Flowmasters can be kinda "rude" sounding. CORSA makes a good cat-back system, including mufflers and tips with a sound that is mellow at low speed, but opens up with a growl when you stomp the go pedal. Go to their website and have a peak. They'll sell you just the tips, if that's the look you want (more rounded with a slight slash cut), but for rectangular ones, some of the older Camaro rectangular tips have been installed on your vintage of Caddy.

Go to Cardomain and look up the 2000-05 Devilles to get an idea of what looks good to you

Just look at Hitmoney's car. He has the Corsa system and loves it.

Frost/Codewize: Thanks for the quick feed back. I did see a few cars here with CORSA set ups; looks very interesting - although I really dont like the CORSA exhaust tips. I guess the tips will one of those "I'll know it when I see it" scenarios as far as finding something that really stands out for me.

My DHS has a slight "growl" when I get on it; but thats about it. I'd like to unlock some of that growl just a bit more (but not TOO much).

I didnt think i was going to like the Corsa tips either, but once on the car I loved them. But I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder.

I like the look of the oval camaro tips on Eldos, but not so much on Devilles.

Thanx! Your car sounds reeeeeel nice. What mufflers do you have under there (wait....these aren't the Dynomax units)?? I like the exhaust tips - are they factory?

Everyone has such different taste. When I do my Corsa system I was actually considering putting the factory oval tips back on. I thought they looked better than the round ones on that particular application.

Nope don't like that at all.

However I do like the wing. I was up in the air for a long long time deciding weather I wanted a wing or a flush mount spoiler. I ultimately decided to go for the flush mount. Now that I see yours I do like the wing on the car. You can never get good photos like that from the suppliers.

Any other votes for wing or flush ?
