So if you own one of these, please respond and show a pic! I'm interested to hear how you got it too. Whether you had to have the upper model, rarer 4.9 powered car or you just stumbled across it and liked it!

PS. Please don't move this thread to the 4.9L section. This thread really isn't about the 4.9, rather it's about the rare Cadillacs that have them. I figured it would be best in there because most of the models mentioned are the FWD C body Fleetwood or deVille.

I am new on this site and so I dont have pics now but will have them up soon . . I have a 1992 coupe deville silver with the black cloth like top and a 1993 eldorado which you mentioned you are not too keen on that particular body class . They are both 4.9 litre engines and I like both . . .

The coupe rides nice and smooth like the sedans and the eldo has a stiff ride which I like because I like sports cars and the eldo gives me both . . I had a 1994 z-28 5.0 and the burst of speed out of the caddy with my eyes close was like taking off in the z . ..

Just got email notifcation that you were looking, so here it is...my '91 Fleetwood Coupe. She has just over 45K on the clock. I've owned the car for a year...third owner. Originally purchased in St. Petersburg, so doubt if she's ever seen snow. I consider myself very, very fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time...the first guy that looked at it wanted a 4door and passed! There were only 894 of these built, so it's as rare as "hens teeth".

Sandy you say that only the 93 Sixty Special ULTRA had the black interior but my 1992 Sixty Special also has a black interior (triple black). And yes it does have the 22 way power seats and a factory moonroof. Have you seen the pics I emailed you?

While I agree with you about the whitewalls being appropriate on a Fleetwood (I have some on my Sixty Special), I hate them. At the best of times, they are P.I.T.A to keep clean. And in particular at this time of year, when the roads are muddy and slushy, and the weather is too cold to wash the car by hand, they are darn near impossible to keep clean.

I agree. I was considering getting rid of the whitewalls on my car. It is a 4.9 car, but its not rare -- just a regular Sedan Deville. But, I love it.

I have a 93 sedan deville with a 4.9L. Has 140,000 on it & runs very strong. Had it for about 5 yrs now & no major problems. Had 2 replace waterpump & distributor & battery & brakes in 5 yrs. I'm not complaining. Have a picture of it in the photo section on here. Put tires, mags, sunroof,& ziebarted it when i got it.

i have a 91 deville 4.9L v8 love it but having trouble finding a replacement rear reflective strip that goes on the bumper and my abs light keeps cumin on but when i go to get it chekd the light turns off ive bled brakes and shit but it keeps feelin like its bubbling i guess ??? bumpy feeling in brake pedal please help want to have theese fixd bout to put theese air bags on it and i wanna ride as clean as posible ya dig

Cadar was not a factory thing. It hooks into the factory spot for the garage door opener option but the Cadar unit itself was an aftermarket jobby manufactured by Vogue.
