My '91 DeVille has the wreath emblems on the seats. I believe this was the last year for them. I~LUV~Caddys8792 has a '92, so he can confirm if '91 was indeed the last year.

Worse, even if the rest of the car is spotlessly clean, dirty whitewalls ruin the effect. | Patrick, you're right that it's hard to keep your whitewalls clean in the winter. I only have to deal with rain for the most part, but it makes my tires—and the rest of my car—look pretty crummy:
I posted a thread in the Detailing section about my process for getting my whitewalls really white. Unless it rains, my tires generally will look good for at least a couple of weeks.
BTW, it was in the low 40s in Oregon yesterday. Not ideal car washing weather, but I did fill the wash bucket with hot water from the kitchen sink. |

I wish they kept it thru 1993 but hey, what can ya do? |

It had cooled off by the time I started washing the car (I do the tires and wheels first). Most of the water on the car is cold from the hose, so not much warm water actually gets on the car. |

The only method I use (because I grew up using it on my Mom's Oldsmobile whitewalls) is a brillo pad on the white section of the tire after I've gotten the tire nice and soapy. It works fine, when it's reasonably warm outside. The last couple of weekends, I've had snow and high temps for the day in the 20 degree range. While I love both my cars, I am not going to risk frostbite to keep them clean. -Patrick |

Cruella DeVille (the cartoon version) is one of my favorite movie villians, so it was a natural. Many days, I will greet my car with a husky, "Hello, dahling." Yes, I know I'm somewhat whacked.
Hoover's a yellow Lab, no spots, so I think he's safe. Had him before I had the car.
I did my tires on Sunday when it was probably in the low 40s outside. Having a good brush with a long handle keeps your hands from getting too wet wet and cold. |

Sorry I have been gone for awhile. Thanks Patrick and JRau for the compliments.
The red toggle switch was for a set of fog lights I had installed under the front bumper but after smashing them twice I decided to leave them off. so the switch does nothing.
As for white walls, I really wanted some but those are 16" rims and the only 16" ww tires I could find were either Michelin or Vogue which were both out of my price range so I bought this set from my brother for $75. I would put up with cleaning them cause they look so good clean. I wash my cars often enough anyway. They brighten right up with degreaser and a pressure washer.
I have also been driving around with out the fender skirts cause they have been scraping with these tires. I dont know if the wheels are different offset or if its cause it way out of alignment from me changing the springs. the tires are only 10mm wider than stock. I have been waiting to align it til i change the front springs and struts but I have been too busy and no cash.
As for my seats, the drivers side is all torn up on the door side and the passenger seat is cracking and spliting. I saw a set in same color in great condition at the wrecking yard but were off a deville and were not the tufted design and the guy wanted as much as it would cost to reupholsted mine. |

Im tryin to find a good spot on my 94 Deville to mount a set of lights on but im not sure if it would even look good with a set of fog lights perched ontop the front bumper.
BTW,i didnt see nothin bout any 1994 4.9 powered Devilles on the list on the first post. Why stop at 93? :P http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/IMG_1326.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/IMG_1309.jpg

And as the subject of this thread was "rare" 4.9L FWD Caddys, those weren't considered rare or limited productions. The only '93 Fleetwood with the 4.9L FWD was the Sixty Special. The remainder of the Fleetwood line in '93 was a 5.7L RWD Broughm. Prior to '93, you did have increasingly rare FWD Fleetwood Sedans and Coupes. The limited production I haven't seen too much of recently are the '91 and '92 Deville Touring Sedans. These were Sedan Devilles with a saddle/tan leather interior and exterior door handles color matched to the car's exterior color. Now, those I'd like to see. -Patrick |
