I wish I had heated leather, my Roadie had it, but they weren't nearly as good as the heated seats in that '99 ETC I drove. |

All I can say is that I've never owned a vehicle before with a 22-way power-adjustable seat AND heated leather. I'm loving this car as winter vehicle! |

In addition to the seat position (sliding forward and back) and the height (up/down), you can individually move the front of the seat, or the rear of the seat up/down. In other words, the seat moves independantly of the seat back. The ULTRA also has three lumbar support air bladders you can inflate or deflate. It has side bolsters you can tighten up to help hold you more firmly in the seat. It has a leg support at the front end up the seat that can be raised and lowered. It has heated leather seats, a power recliner function and even a power head rest. Get that? The head rest can be raised and lowered, and can be tilted, as a power function from the seat controls! I've never seen any car with this many power seat functions associated with it. |

The only 1989 thru 1993 "C" Body Cadillacs....to have heated seats, were the
(1989-1992 Fleetwood Sixty Special & 1993 Sixty SpecialULTRA)
Heated seats in that timr frame were not an option on de Ville,
nor the base Fleetwood. You had to get the Sixty Special in 1989 thru 1992,
or the Sixty Special ULTRA in 1993. |

Thanks, Sandy. I got 'em now. You must really have to get up on it to see the purple color. I'm thinking it's black. Love the car though, wow!! I'm going to go back and read up on 'em. I have the original car sales literature, and I often waste time going back and reading up on this type of thing...

Newton (my hometown) has one of these 60 Special's running around town here, but it's a pre-'90--with the eggcrate grille. The owners have beat it badly, so it's kind of a roach coach now, which is sad. I don't know why people let their nice Cadillacs or Lincolns go like that.
Anyway, nice to see your ride!

I just stumbled accross a dark blue 91 Deville with the 4.9. Bought it for $550! The funny part is, my 90 Deville has 291 000 km on the clock and has some minor suspension clunks and a few squeaks/rattles, but one test drive in the 91 blew me away! It has 350 000 km but rides and drives like it has 150 000 with no rattles/clunks/squeaks to be heard and the engine can't even be detected when running. What gives? Was the quality improved substantially in 91? I know that the addition of the strut brace in 91 improved structural rigidity, but this car makes my 90 feel like junk in comparison. In fact the 91 has a ride quality approaching my Dad's Town Car, while my 90 has a much more rigid ride. Any reason for this? Optional suspension perhaps? A few details: The 91 has a nice tiara roof with opera lights instead of the ugly full vinyl and near flawless factory paint except for some sort of impact on the trunklid which only took a piece of paint off, which I'm definately going to have repaired. The original 'Symphony Sound' stereo is present and the original owner's manual with it's leather cover was found in the glovebox. I even found that little trash basket in the trunk! |

Just turned 100K miles about a month ago. Paint really good, interior just about flawless. Love how comfortable it is. Even though I'm only 35 I don't mind riding in a "Old persons car". |

My '91 DeVille has 220,800 miles on it, and like your 91, there are no squeaks, rattles or clunks, and the engine is virtually silent. The car feels very solid. Mine didn't have the owner's manual (I got one on eBay), but the little trash basket was right where it's supposed to go in the front passenger footwell.

Looks real nice! Front driver's seat doesn't appear to have any significant wear issues, either--nice! Take a little Westley's Bleche-White to those tires, and you'll be good to go!

JRau in central Iowa | Yeah, when you grand parents TOGETHER don't weigh nearly as much as me (240 lbs) then the seats stay pretty nice!
Where do you get that Westley's? Autozone, Pep Boys, Advance, etc? Its really hard to keep them whitewalls white on this car. So heavy and so much brake dust (at least that means the brakes work! ) | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
