Hello all. I have two questions so please bare with me. First question, which is the easiest, Do anyone know where could a find an original manual for a 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood D'elegance? I will be starting my process of fully restoring my first vehicle soon and need one. I have a Haynes but nothing beats the factory one...

Second question. A couple days ago, my car A/C compressor decided to pass away on me and take my serpentine belt with it. I went to the local auto parts store to see if my year had an A/C bypass belt, because my belt diagram doesn't show a bypass circuit. So, I guess my second question would be, Does anyone know if or if not the 87' had a way to bypass (serpentine belt not bypass pulley) and if so where would one find: bypass diagram, new serpentine belt size?

Do anyone know where could a find an original manual for a 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood D'elegance?

I assume you are referring to the FSM - Factory Service Manual -
here ya go - $15 - including shipping -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1987-Cadill...ash=item3d10e30277:g:qzIAAOSwFqJWjCgc&vxp=mtr

leave the haynes manual in the outhouse -
it will be more useful there -

can't help on the second question -
you might peruse through the TechTips forum here -

or the 4.1 engine forum here -

you can take a piece of string and measure a new belt route with a shorted belt, then just find a belt of that size if one exists... or just cough up the 30 bucks for a bypass pulley change 3 bolts and do it right. the guy at your parts store should be able to take a belt length and match it up with a shorter one. just take the old one so he knows how many ribs it needs, and the length of the new route, although i dont think theres much room to reroute on the 4.1. my 87 deville with a 4.1 has a silly hose that actually runs through the belt in between the ps pump and ac compressor.
