DHS 2002 Navi dvd Ver. 5.0 15798916 problem

Hi all

Just got latest Navigation dvd. Checked part number at dealer and at gmnavdisc.com - part number is correct - but.
When I create new planned route averything is ok except Map and Voice guidance - its not comming up, nothing on the map.

I read somewhere that dealer must update navi system itself to have new DVD function properly but I afraid that I can loose DVD playback (1791) during driving.

Did anybody expirience such problems??

Have 05 deville with nav. Arrow would blink with nothing on map. Bought new disk, still did not work. Cadillac warrantied unit due to drive failure. Tech at Cadi said it was common problem. Unfortunately nobody could even check it except the dealer.

DVD playback during drive, how did you get that to work. My wife is so upset that she can not watch DVD while we are on road trips in our 03 DTS.

when i press 1971 in and then enter
it does nothing just erased the number from the box and brings the keypad back up but when i pres 197 it works just fine how come its working on just 3 digits and not hte 4 ?


also i know jason had told me when i had him do the instal that there are like 3 or 4 screans i have to go threw in order to punch in a new adress whyll the car is out of park how do i get to the screans that i want to so i can use the navi when not in park so i dont have to stop to enter a new adress
