| Re: Another front passenger window won't roll up thread I don't think the radio will have anything to do with the window. I do know that the passenger side window switch must be operable for the driver's side switch to work the passenger side window.
Yesterday, my passenger side window went down and then a loud pop. The the window would not go up or down with either switch.
Did you window roll down and it stayed down? Could you pull it up with your hands? How can you tell if the window will go down with both switches? Two possibilities: 1) the plastic slide broke and the window stays down. You should hear the motor run trying to raise the window.
2) A wire for the down side of the switches has broken, so there is no power getting to the up side of the motor. Check power at the switch for power to and from the switch. If you have current from the switch to the motor, the window lift motor is shot. If no current is present on the motor side of the switch, you have a bad switch.
I hope this information will help. |
