I've seen this message come across the INFORMATION center on a number of '90s Cadillacs. I've tried to disconnect the active suspension module, but the message persists.
Somewhere I heard something about being able to rig a resistor(?) somewhere to stop this message from appearing. Can someone point me in the right direction?
This could mean there is a prob with the air ride control. Does it still level off after you shut it down. You should hear it about 6 or 7 mins after you take the key out?
Not sure what you mean by 'level off'. Car(s) sit and ride level, and handle just fine. From what I can learn, there's an 'issue' with one or more of the active struts, but I don't think I need this feature, since the active struts are very expensive. I just want the message to go away on it's own, instead of me clearing it each time.
By level off, do you hear the the air compressor adjust when it's off. I know that sometimes it could be the exhaust ports are clogged.
The GM kit they sell will bypass all original equipment even information message, and its a fraction of the price.
