I was looking for something else, and stumbled onto it. I almost bought it, as I think these cars are pretty cool, but declined. |

The price is much higher because they only made like 260 of them over two years, so finding one is very rare. They also cost like $65k back in '97, which is like $70k today, more than an Escalade.
They are also far superior to a RWD Fleetwood. There is so much legroom in the back of a Fleetwood limited you would not know what to do with yourself. They also have optional flip down tables and adjustable rear reading lights. |

I wonder how they ride and drive and how tight a structure they have. I test drove a '97 DeVille that was for sale with average miles and it was a rattle trap. So I bought a '93 FWB that is super tight. |

That one cgfisher was selling was $10,000.00 with over 150k miles AND with condition problems!! (I noticed that it has since disappeared so it either went on Ebay or someone was crazy enough to pay that much for it). A stretched Deville is a stretched Deville no matter how few exist, and I'd MUCH rather buy Elias' showcar Fleetwood for just a little more than that.
Rarity is not always rarity for a GOOD reason, reminds me a little of the housing/greed thing. Let another Caddy lover enjoy it for a good price without gouging the market and profit, but 10k when a same year Deville in similar condition is worth about 2500? In the words of the great John Stossel... Give me a break.

The full size Fleetwoods had them so why not? The portholes can be removed. |

Riiiiight. He knows exactly what's wrong with it. I'd give him 1000 bucks as-is. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
